Valencia, a sea of calm waters

From the point of view of diving, what characterises the seaboard of the province of Valencia is the predominance of sandy beaches, very suitable for bathing and with all the facilities the user might demand, but seemingly of little interest for diving. But this is only in appearance, as moving away from the coast the seabed is found to be abundantly rocky, with little change in level, but full of life in its countless coves, crevices and cracks.

Chera Geological Park

A park to enjoy outdoors

The Geological Park of Chera covers most of the municipality of this locality located within the Region of Valencia. It is an outdoor park, which contains the exemplary representation of the geological structure of a Tectonic Trench, which is an elongated morphological depression, limited by large fractures that break the land into blocks, some of which have sunk.

Tabarca Island, an inhabited Marine Reserve paradise

Tabarca Island is a small island that covers an area of only 0.3 km2. It is actually a small archipelago 1,800 m long and 400m wide. Santa Pola is the closest point on the peninsula to Tabarca Island (3 miles), which is the only inhabited island in the Region of Valencia. Tabarca is a unique destination with an interesting history that reminds us of what inspired artists and caught the eye of pirates. In fact, in order to end piracy, the island was fortified and inhabited by residents of Tabarqah (Tabarka) Island in Tunisia.
